Fouquereuil is a French village located in the Pas-de-Calais département (which is in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais région), in the canton of Béthune-South, in a quadrant made up of an adapted spoil heap to the North, the Paris/Dunkerque railway to the East, the river " la Brette " in the South and the A26 West.

Situated at an altitude of 30 metres, the village of Fouquereuil has the following geographic coordinates, Latitude: 50° 31' 8'' North, Longitude: 2° 36' 4'' East.

The inhabitants of the village are known as Fouquereuillois (pronounced foo-ker-ey-wa) and Fouquereuilloises (pronounced foo-ker-ey-was) for women.

The territory covers 2 km² and has 1251 residents according to the last census in 2010 (mid-census). With a population density of 625 inhabitants per km², Fouquereuil has seen a net rise in population of 17.6% compared to 1999.

Fouquereuil is surrounded by the communes of Fouquières-lès-Béthune, Annezin, Gosnay and Labeuvrière, and lies 3km South-West of Béthune, the largest town in the surrounding area.

The village is a peaceful haven at a stone’s throw from major communication lines: the A26 motorway, known as the “Autoroute des Anglais" and the TGV (high-speed rail) station of Béthune. As such, the village offers a backdrop of green spaces for walking and outdoor activities.
